Mrs. Barrett graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science in 1998. She earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from DePaul College of Law in Chicago, Illinois in 2002 and was admitted to practice law in Tennessee the same year.
For two years after being admitted to practice, Mrs. Barrett worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Thomas T. Woodall, Judge of the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals.
She joined the law firm of Reynolds, Potter, Ragan & Vandivort, PLC as an associate in 2004. Mrs. Barrett concentrates in the areas of domestic law, including divorce, custody, child support, juvenile, and adoption, as well as criminal defense, personal injury, and civil and criminal appeals.
Mrs. Barrett presently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Developmental Services of Dickson County and the advisory board for Mid-Cumberland Child Care Resource Center. She and her husband, Scott, were both raised in Dickson County. They reside in Dickson and have two sons.
