Mary Lane is a Dickson County native and a 2017 Dickson County High School graduate. The summer after graduating from high school, she discovered her passion for the legal profession while interning with Reynolds, Potter, Ragan & Vandivort, PLC. Thereafter, Mary Lane attended the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in marketing. While in college, Mary Lane was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi honor society and served as the philanthropy chair for her sorority, Chi Omega. Through the College of Business, she was chosen to serve as an intern for On Location Experiences, preparing for and working two Super Bowl games.

After graduating from the University of Tennessee at Martin, Mary Lane attended Belmont University College of Law, where she was recognized for her legal writing and oral advocacy skills. During law school, she was a summer associate for Reynolds, Potter, Ragan & Vandivort, PLC, and she continued her employment with the firm for the duration of her third year of law school. After graduating from law school in May of 2023, Mary Lane passed the July Bar exam and began working full-time as an associate attorney for Reynolds, Potter, Ragan & Vandivort, PLC.

Mary Lane’s husband, Jack, is a financial advisor. Together, they enjoy spending time with their German Shorthaired Pointer, Maverick.
